This page provides step-by-step instructions on how to enter and edit Subpart GG Zinc Manufacturing process information for kilns and furnaces that are monitored by a Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS).
Step 1: Add a Kiln or Furnace Monitored By CEMS
To add a kiln or furnace that is monitored by a CEMS, find the Waelz Kilns or Electrothermic Furnaces (monitored by CEMS) table on the Subpart GG Overview page and click the link titled "ADD a Kiln or Furnace monitored by CEMS".
To edit a unit, click the edit icon or the Name/ID link located in the first column of the Waelz Kilns or Electrothermic Furnaces (monitored by CEMS) table.
To delete a unit, click the delete icon located in the last column of the Waelz Kilns or Electrothermic Furnaces (monitored by CEMS) table.

Step 2: Confirm that the Kiln or Furnace is monitored using CEMS
Once you click "ADD a Kiln or Furnace monitored by CEMS" you will be asked to confirm that this unit is monitored by CEMS. If this is correct, click SAVE and you will be presented with the Kiln and Furnace information page.

Step 3: Enter Kiln or Furnace process information
Enter the process data for your Waelz Kilns or Electrothermic Furnace which are monitored by CEMS as shown in the screen below:
- A unique name or identifier for the kiln or furnace, plus optional description for this unit (see also About Unique Unit Names)
- Type of Kiln or Furnace (selecting from the pick list)
- Optional comment clarifying the operating characteristics or limitations of the CEMs data

Step 4: Repeat Steps 1-3
Repeat Steps 1-3 until emissions data have been entered for all Waelz Kilns or Electrothermic Furnace which are monitored by CEMS.
