If you do not have a Login.gov account, you will be prompted to create one during account migration.
To begin the process, go to the login page at https://ghgreporting.epa.gov (If you have previously used e-GGRT, you will notice that the password field has been removed from the username section).

Enter your username and click the NEXT button.
You will then be prompted to enter your password and click the LOGIN button. You may use the "Forgot Password?" link to recover your password, if necessary.

Click the "Proceed to Login.gov" button to begin the one-time migration process.
You will then be redirected to the Login.gov site.
The Login.gov screenshots below are from a test site and are displayed as examples. The actual Login.gov screens may differ slightly.

Click the "Create an Account" button.
On the next page, enter your email address, select your language preference, and click the check box to accept the Login.gov Rules of Use.

Click the "Submit" button.
A page will be displayed indicating that an email with a link was sent to you in order to confirm the email address that you entered.

Check your email inbox for the message containing the link.

Click on the link to confirm your email address.
Once you have successfully confirmed your email address, you will be prompted to create a Login.gov password.

After creating and confirming your password, click the "Continue" button.
Next, you will be prompted to setup your multi-factor authentication (MFA) method.

After selecting an option, click the "Continue" button.
In this example, "Text or voice message" was selected as it is the most common option used.
Enter your phone number, select how you will get your one-time code (text message or phone call), and click the "Send code" button.

After receiving your one-time code, enter the code and click the "Submit" button.

A page will be displayed confirming that you have added an authentication method.

You may click the "Add another method" button if you wish to add a second authentication method or you may click the "Skip for now" link to continue.
The email address on your Login.gov account will be displayed along with the option to add a second authentication method.
To proceed, click the "Agree and continue" button.

The one-time migration process is complete.
You will be returned to the login page where you may login using the new Login.gov process.
Refer to the New e-GGRT Login Process page for more information on logging into e-GGRT.
Once you have connected your e-GGRT account to a Login.gov account, you cannot re-connect it to a different Login.gov account after the one-time migration.
If you delete your Login.gov account, it will render any connected e-GGRT accounts unusable - they cannot be retrieved or restored and you will need to register a new e-GGRT account, sign a new Electronic Signature and Use Agreement (ESA), and repeat the migration process from the beginning.
