A117. The term treatment equipment under the rule refers to destruction devices, which are defined as a flare, thermal oxidizer, boiler, turbine, internal combustion engine, or any other combustion unit used to destroy or oxidize methane contained in landfill gas (reference 98.348). Knock out pots, blowers, compressors, condensate traps, etc. are not destruction devices and therefore are not considered treatment equipment under the rule.
