General

Issue: More recent versions of Google Chrome insert a check box onto many of the dialog/message boxes generated by e-GGRT. If this "Prevent this page from creating additional dialogs" check box is selected, Chrome will prevent e-GGRT from presenting important dialog boxes that are important to e-GGRT screen flows. For example, if the box is selected and e-GGRT subsequently attempt to display a dialog box asking you to confirm that you wish to delete a unit, Chrome will prevent the display of the dialog box and the application will appear to be broken. This behavior will continue for the remainder of your Chrome session.

Workaround: Do not select the "Prevent this page from creating additional dialogs" check box when using Chrome. If you do, you should shut down and restart Chrome to enable Chrome to display dialog boxes from e-GGRT.

RESOLVED 3/4/16. Updated version of Optional calculation workbook is now available.

Issue: A number of issues have been identified with the RY15 Optional calculation workbook (original updated 2/26/16). The updated workbook, dated 3/4/2016, is available at Optional Calculation Spreadsheet Instructions as is a change log detailing the specific modifications made.

W

RESOLVED 3/19/16.  Updated the XML schema to expand enumerations for type of fuels for the Combustion Equipment source.

Issue: For the Combustion Equipment source two enumerations for Type of Fuel were missing a number of fuels.  These fuels have now been added to the enumeration and schema and these are now consistent with the fuel choices presented in the reporting form.  Please review the content on Subpart W XML Reporting Help for additional detail.

W

RESOLVED 2/17/16. Please re-upload your Subpart W reporting form and e-GGRT will re-calculate total methane and nitrous oxide emissions.

Issue: Total methane and nitrous oxide emissions for Subpart W are not being calculated correctly. In Reporting Year 2014 (and prior years), methane and nitrous oxide emissions were reported in units of metric tons of CO2 equivalent, requiring division by Global Warming Potentials to yield methane and nitrous oxide emission totals in metric tons of each gas. A defect in the e-GGRT RY2015 application is resulting in 'division by GWP' to continue, despite the fact that RY15 methane and nitrous oxide quantities are already in units of metric tons.

OO

Issue: Cell J92 on the importer tab of the Importer / Exporter reporting form and Cell E35 on the Onsite Transformation Tab of the Producer Reporting Form are missing the formula for CASNR and that missing data prevents that quantities on that row from being added into the summary report and overall emission numbers.

Workaround: User may either download a new version of the reporting form with issue corrected or may simply leave row 92 on the importer tab or row 35 on the Onsite Transformation tab blank

TT

RESOLVED 3/5/16.

Issue: May receive a "We're Sorry" error page from e-GGRT when trying to edit a waste stream.

Description

Subpart Q, Subpart X, Subpart Y (Flares)

Issue: For flares employing Equation Y-1a, when data is carried over from RY17 to RY18, users may be able to circumvent the new mass or volumetric measurement basis selection by clicking on validation message links in their Validation Report prior to editing / entering flare unit data.  If a user does click the validation message text prior to providing the mass or volumetric measurement basis they may have difficulty making that selection later.

Workaround: Users should start the data entry process by editing flare information (click on the pencil icon on the flare summary page as shown below) and entering the required data including the mass or volumetric measurement basis selection. After making this selection, users can click the OPEN button for the flare unit and complete all required data entry (which varies based on whether or not measurements were based on mass or volumetric measurements).

Subpart DD

Issue: Subpart DD reporters from the state of North Carolina may encounter difficulty resubmitting RY2017 and prior year reporting forms because of a misspelling in the state name in the old reporting forms.  Prior to RY18 the Subpart DD reporting form and the GHG reporting schema spelled the state of North Carolina as "North Caroline".  This spelling is no longer accepted.

Workaround: Users who wish to resubmit their Subpart DD data for North Carolina for RY17 or prior years should migrate their data to a newly downloaded reporting form, ensuring that the state name "North Carolina" is selected from the pull down list.  You may contact the GHGRP Help Desk if they need clarification or assistance.

Issue: #8725

Subpart TT

Issue: Data Quality validation message TT0334 may trigger incorrectly for certain Subpart TT reporters when the e-GGRT system performs a Final Verification Review prior to submission and certification.

The TT0334 message will state, for example: "EPA expects that your annual report for Subpart TT (Industrial Waste Landfills) will contain at least one waste disposal quantity for at least one waste stream for every waste disposal year from the first year the landfill accepted waste ([yyyy]) through the current reporting year ([2018]). Waste disposal years within that range that were found not to contain any waste disposal data for any waste stream are: [yyyy, yyyy, yyyy, yyyy]."

First, reporters with landfills that are closed may incorrectly receive Data Quality validation message TT0334 with years AFTER the last year waste was received listed in the message. Those years are being incorrectly included in the validation message. If, for example, the landfill was closed in 2000, TT0334 will incorrectly trigger and list years 2001 through 2018. (This issue was RESOLVED 03/20/2019)

Second, reporters with landfills that are open or closed may incorrectly receive Data Quality validation message TT0334 if the first year the landfill received waste was prior to 1960. Subpart TT reporters are only required to provide waste stream quantities for 1960 and later or the first year the landfill accepted waste and later if after 1960. Years prior to 1960 are being incorrectly included in the validation message. If, for example, the first year the landfill received waste was 1955, TT0334 will incorrectly trigger and list years 1955 through 1959.

Workaround: There is no workaround available at this time. Subpart TT reporters can disregard the TT0344 validation message and proceed to submit and certify their report.

Issue: #9555

Subpart C

RESOLVED 02/27/2019

Issue: For facilities using the Inputs Verifier Tool to estimate emissions for gaseous fuels using Equation C-5 (Tier 3) and that also are using Equation C-2b to calculate weighted average carbon content and weighted average molecular weight values, the e-GGRT system may incorrectly generate screen errors indicating that carbon content or molecular weight input values have not been entered.

Issue #9530

Subpart T

RESOLVED 02/27/2019

Issue: Subpart T reporters may encounter situations where validation messages T0065 and T0066 display on the Validation Report incorrectly.

Issue #9500

Subpart W

RESOLVED 02/21/2019

Issue: Validation message W9402V3 and final validation message W0012V3 may both trigger for generated Subpart W submissions. These validations are appropriately triggering but duplicate each other. If you encounter both of these validations, please review your reported data and revise as appropriate. Validation checks W9402V3 and W0012V3 are not Critical Errors and so you will not be prevented from submitting and certifying your annual report.

Issue #9370

Subpart W

RESOLVED 02/21/2019

Issue: Validation messages W1968V3 and W1969V3 may trigger incorrectly for the natural gas driven pneumatic pump emissions source after uploading your Subpart W Reporting Form into e-GGRT.

Issue #9499

Subpart W

RESOLVED 03/1/2019

Issue: Validation message W3700V3 may trigger incorrectly for large glycol dehydrator units that report that all emissions are vented to a vapor recovery device.

Issue #9528

Subpart Y

RESOLVED 02/27/2019

Issue: When adding new delayed coking units within Subpart Y, the e-GGRT system will not generate a Data Completeness validation message instructing the user to use the Inputs Verifier Tool (IVT) to calculate methane emissions for the unit, however the unit will correctly be marked as "Incomplete".

Issue #9509

Subpart HH

RESOLVED 03/11/2019

Issue: XML submissions for Reporting Year 2016 which reflect annual operating hours for the gas collection system between 8760 and 8784 hours may encounter critical error for validation codes HH0354 and HH179.  If you encounter these messages and believe your data is correct please contact the GHGRP Help Desk for assistance.
