A426. No. The data collected under the GHG Reporting Program will not replace  the annual national GHG inventoryInventory. ThisThe reportInventory fulfills U.S.  Government commitments to the United Nations Framework Convention on  Climate Change (UNFCCC) to report on annual national GHG emissions. The It Inventory is also the best source of data for total U.S. GHG emissions  across all sectors. The GHG Reporting Program focuses on particularlarge sources  of emissions, and does not includecover all100 emissionpercent sources as presented in the of U.S. GHG Inventory (e.g., many sources of agricultural emissions). The  GHG Reporting Program will, however, serve as a useful tool to improve  the overall accuracy of future national-level inventories for certain source categories.the Inventory.
