{longname} Q403. Is an XML file submission subject to all the same validation checks as when using the web forms?
{longname}
A403. Yes, but during upload e-GGRT performs only schema validation and certain other checks. Additional validation checks will occur off-line.
XML-based submissions are subject to a two-stage validation. The first assures compliance with the XML schema and e-GGRT database. Submissions that do not meet this standard will receive error messages as described in [FAQ 397|FAQ:Q397. Will e-GGRT provide an error message that points to the specific tag or data element if an upload fails the schema validation check?]. An additional set of checks, comparable to those applied to webform submittals, are applied to Subparts DD, FF, I, L, LL, MM, QQ, and W. Additional verification checks, equivalent to those applied to webform submittals, also occurs off-line after the submission deadline.
