This page provides step-by-step instructions on how to enter and edit Subpart P Hydrogen Production emissions information for process units that are NOT monitored by a CEMS for RY 2014 and later.

Step 1: Select a Unit

To select a unit for which to enter emissions data, find the unit in the HYDROGEN PRODUCTION UNITS table and click OPEN

Step 2: Access Inputs Verifier Tool (IVT)

In order to enter emissions information for process units NOT monitored by CEMS for RY2014 and later, facilities must access the IVT module from the Subpart P Summary Page. In the Unit CO₂ Calculation Result section, you will find a data entry cell labeled "Annual process CO₂ emissions from hydrogen production unit."  Immediately below this data entry cell you will see a block labeled "Use Input Verifier to calculate" and a green "Go" box.  Click "Go" to open the IVT module for Subpart P.

Step 3: Enter Equation Inputs in IVT

See Subpart P Entering Equation Inputs Using IVT for instructions on how to enter your equation inputs in the IVT module. When you have completed data entry in the IVT, return to the Subpart P Summary page to complete entry of emissions data for the unit. At this point, a check box labeled “Enter/Report Alternate Result” will allow you to report a result that differs from the one calculated by the IVT if you wish to do so (note that this will generate a validation message).

Step 4: Enter Substitute Values Information

On the Emissions Summary page, below the Unit CO₂ Calculation Result section, there is a section for entering information about any substitute data values used in calculating CO₂ emissions for each feedstock or fuel used by the process unit. Indicate by checking the appropriate equation input box for each month in which a substitute value was used.
