Effective immediately, EPA has upgraded e-GGRT to comply with new, strengthened security measures implemented by EPA's Central Data Exchange (CDX).  Every e-GGRT account holder that has not already done so MUST select three (3) security questions and provide answers to each the NEXT time they login to e-GGRT.

If you have not logged into e-GGRT since this change was implemented, e-GGRT will REQUIRE you to complete this process before you can move forward.  You only have to complete this process ONE time.

The new security questions will REPLACE the current e-GGRT "secret" question and answer.  In the future the e-GGRT "secret" question and answer will no longer be used.

For additional information, please visit our Overview of Security Questions page at http://www.ccdsupport.com/confluence/display/help/Overview+of+Security+Questions

e-GGRT will be unavailable at times between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM EDT Monday, October 15, 2012 due to system maintenance. If you encounter difficulty logging into e-GGRT during those time please wait 5 minutes and try again.

EPA is experiencing problems with its Central Data Exchange (CDX) network authentication services that may cause intermittent problems with e-GGRT user-login.  If you are unable to log-in to e-GGRT, please try re-loading the page and logging in again.  EPA is working to resolve the problem.

EPA's Office of Environmental Information has completed scheduled maintenance and upgrades on the Agency's Central Data Exchange (CDX) which affected all CDX customers including e-GGRT users.  Access to e-GGRT has been restored. Connectivity may be intermittent during the weekend as CDX runs system checks related to maintenance. For more information and updates on CDX outages please visit http://cdx.epa.gov/recent.asp

The deadline for submitting and certifying RY2011 annual GHG reports to EPA is Friday, September 28th, 2012.

Please allow yourself sufficient time to enter and submit your data before the September 28th deadline. If you are new to e-GGRT you should provide yourself with enough time to contact the Help Desk in the event you have questions or encounter difficulties when completing your annual GHG report. More complex questions may require longer response times.

Thank you.

EPA believes the Central Data Exchange (CDX) outage causing e-GGRT access problems has been resolved.  Access to e-GGRT log-in and report submission features has been restored.  EPA will continue to monitor the situation closely in the event CDX problems persist.  If you still encounter problems accessing e-GGRT, please contact the Help Desk.  Thank you for your patience.

EPA is experiencing intermittent outages with its Central Data System (CDX) services due to recent firewall upgrades (ipV6).  These outages affect all CDX customers, including e-GGRT users.  In some cases, the outages may interfere with an e-GGRT user's ability to perform certain functions in e-GGRT, including logging in and/or certifying reports.  EPA is working to resolve the problem.  Thank you for your patience.

EPA has launched an updated Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program website. The new “landing” page to make it easier for users to find greenhouse gas data, access summary information, and identify new information released by the program.

The new landing page can be found at: http://www.epa.gov/ghgreporting

The new landing page also links to a newly formatted page geared specifically for facilities and suppliers that report under the program. This page provides easy access to all the critical resources including e-GGRT, rulemaking notices, resources by subpart, training and testing opportunities, information on the treatment of sensitive business data, and the help desk. We also added some new features such as important dates/deadlines and a link to the electronic Code of Federal Regulations (eCFR), which is the most current copy of the entire 40 CFR Part 98. Links from the GHGRP Help Site at www.ccdsupport.com and from e-GGRT to content on the EPA site are being updated to reflect the changes.

The log-in page for e-GGRT has not changed.

Users should update their bookmarked pages to reflect the new web page addresses (URLs) that are important to them. They will be re-directed to the new pages in the short-term but a permanent fix is to bookmark the new page.

On August 20, 2012, EPA opened the electronic Greenhouse Gas Reporting Tool (e-GGRT) to accept 2011 data for the new 2011 source categories (i.e. subparts I-Electronics Manufacturing, L-Fluorinated Gas Production, T-Magnesium Production, W-Petroleum and Natural Gas Systems, DD-Use of Electric Transmission and Distribution Equipment , FF-Underground Coal Mines, II-Industrial Wastewater Treatment, QQ-Imports and Exports of Equipment Pre-charged with Fluorinated GHGs or Containing Fluorinated GHGs in Closed-cell Foams, RR- Geologic Sequestration of Carbon Dioxide, SS-Manufacture of Electric Transmission and Distribution Equipment, TT-Industrial Waste Landfills, and UU-Injection of Carbon Dioxide) reporting under the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program. Registered reporters can prepare and submit annual GHG reports at ghgreporting.epa.gov. The deadline to submit 2011 reports for new reporting year 2011 source categories is September 28th, 2012. For this group of reporters, September 28, 2012 is also the deadline for reporting any remaining 2011 data under all subparts.

EPA is making a number of reporting tools (e.g., reporting forms and calculation spreadsheets) available to the public so that facilities and suppliers can begin preparing reporting year 2011 (RY2011) reports, due on September 28, 2012. Reporting forms are MS Excel-based forms which capture specific data required under CFR 40 Part 98 and which user upload as part of their reporting. Similarly, Calculation Spreadsheets are optional MS Excel based tools which help implement the GHG calculation methodologies.

Please note that e-GGRT will undergo a short maintenance period, beginning on August 15, 2012, to prepare for the September 28, 2012 reporting deadline. During this period, e-GGRT will not accept submissions. EPA intends to resume accepting submissions during the week of August 20, 2012.

Reporting instructions and reporting forms may be downloaded at: Reporting Form Instructions

Calculation Spreadsheets may be downloaded at: Optional Calculation Spreadsheet Instructions

If you have any questions regarding these tool please contact the GHGRP Help Desk

EPA has released a draft version of an optional calculation spreadsheet for Subpart W. The calculation tool is designed to assist e-GGRT users in Petroleum and Natural Gas Systems industries (Subpart W) develop their GHG reporting. This draft version of the tool is provided for testing purposes and use in the context on the e-GGRT sandbox and target testing program. This calculation spreadsheet addresses most of the calculations required under subpart W including Equations W-1 through W-40 in one integrated workbook.

You can download this and other calculation spreadsheets that support sandbox and target testing at: http://www.ccdsupport.com/confluence/display/help/RY2011+Optional+Calculation+Spreadsheets+for+Target+Testing.
