Q111. Do landfills have to report the biogenic CO2 that is included in LFG emissions and the CO2 that is emitted from flares?
A111. No. According to the rule faccilities must report CH4 generation only from landfills under Subpart HH, section 98.342 and then report CO2 generation emissions from stations combustion under Subpart C; however, section 98.30(a)(4) states that CO2 emisisons from flares are not required to be reported. Therefore, in the case of biogenic landfill CO2 emitted from flares, the facility does not have to include those emissions in their report.
