About Facility Registration

Facilities and suppliers subject to the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP), except for suppliers subject only to Subpart LL (Coal-based Liquid Fuels) and Subpart MM (Petroleum Products), must register online through the e GGRT system. Program applicability depends on the Greenhouse gas (GHG) source categories located at the facility or supplier, the emission level of greenhouse gases and the production capacity. See the General Provisions Info Sheet for more information. If you are uncertain, the Applicability Tool may help you assess whether your facility is required to report GHG emissions in e-GGRT. Note that information tailored to suppliers and other affected entities can also be found there.

Facility or Supplier Reporting by Subpart

Under the GHGRP, your operation may report at the facility level, the supplier (corporate) level, or both, depending on the subparts of the rule that apply to you. The following table indicates the level of reporting by subpart.

If your operation reports as both a facility and a supplier under different subparts, then you may assign one Designated Representative (DR) for the facility and a different DR for the supplier.

Register a Facility or Supplier
To begin the facility registeration process, click the green REGISTER A FACILITY button.

E-GGRT has a special process for registering a facility or supplier that reports to EPA using CAMD Business System (CBS). If this applies to your facility, e-GGRT will import the facillity information from CBS when the Designated Representative (DR) for your facility completes the e-GGRT user registration process by linking the DR's CBS account to the DR's e-GGRT account

Accept an Invitation
If you have received an email from e-GGRT notifying you that you have been appointed to be a DR, Alternative Designated Representative (ADR) or Agent, copy the invitation code from the body of the email into the box labeled ACCEPT AN INVITATION on the e-GGRT home page, and click the green GO button. Do not use an invitation code that was sent to another person.

Action Required
The e-GGRT home page will display an ACTION REQUIRED panel if there are any actions that needs your attention, such as signing a new Notice of Delegation, or re-signing a Certificate of Representation due to a change. If you have an action to perform, click on the blue hyperlink to begin.

Facilities Pending Registration
Any facilities or suppliers which you have begun to register will remain in a "Pending" status until the DR that was identified during registration has accepted his/her appointment as DR. At that time, the facility will be removed from the FACILITIES PENDING REGISTRATION panel and will appear on the DR's home page in his/her YOUR FACILITIES panel. The facility will appear on other users' YOUR FACILITIES panel as they accept appointments to become the ADR or an Agent for that facility.

Your Facilities
The e-GGRT home page will display, in the YOUR FACILITIES panel, each facility for which you serve as DR, ADR or Agent.

E-GGRT Announcements
This panel displays timely EPA announcements about e-GGRT.
