Q623. My question concerns the calculation of standard temperature and pressure. The rule stipulates what standard temperature and pressure are, but how, for an annual average, is actual temperature and pressure defined?

 

A623. Actual temperature and pressure as defined for §98.233 is the “average atmospheric conditions or typical operating conditions.” Therefore, the average temperature and pressure at a given location based on annual averages can be used for actual temperature and actual pressure.
