EPA has been evaluating the data collected through the GHGRP, and has begun incorporating specific data elements in the U.S. GHG Inventory and has plans to incorporate more GHGRP data in the future.  Key factors that EPA examines include the coverage within a sector, consistency of definitions, the availability of a time series, and transparency.  The inclusion of GHGRP data into the Inventory will be a multi-year process that leads to improvements in key sectors.
