Q483. Are emissions from combustion equipment reported under Subpart W or Subpart C?

A483. Onshore petroleum and natural gas production facilities, onshore petroleum and natural gas gathering and boosting facilities, and natural gas distribution facilities must report combustion-related emissions from stationary and portable equipment under subpart W as specified in 40 CFR 98.236(z). 

For all other Subpart W industry segments which report combustion emissions (i.e., offshore petroleum and natural gas production, onshore natural gas processing, onshore natural gas transmission compression, underground natural gas storage, LNG storage, and LNG import and export), emissions from each stationary fuel combustion unit must be calculated and reported by following the requirements of subpart C.
