Q114. Can an alternate oxidation factor, other than 10% be used in the calculations?
A114. Yes. Beginning in reporting year 2013, if your facility meets one of the conditions in Table HH-4 associated with an oxidation fraction other than 10 percent, then a different value should be used in the rule equations. Note that equations have been provided to determine the methane flux rate at your facility beneath Table HH-4 in the rule. Additionally, we have developed a calculation spreadsheet template to assist reporters in performing the methane flux calculations that can be downloaded from the Optional Calculation Spreadsheet Instructions page.
