Subparts
C & D

Issue:  Invalid completeness validation messages occur after a user changes the configuration or reporting tier for a pre-existing unit. Validation messages relevant to the former or original configuration or tier may be presented.
Workaround:  Two options a) Ignore these completeness validation messages or b) Delete the unit and and re-enter that data.

Issue:  Many users, when reviewing the summary report which is generated prior to submission, are concerned because data items in unit's emissions details section are sometimes blank. Many users assume this suggests that these data have been omitted by the user and the submission is incomplete.
Workaround:  For certain configuration the summary report shows emission detail data elements which are not required for that configuration. These blanks do not mean the user has omitted data. For more information please review Configuration types, emission details and their presentation in the summary report

Subpart
Q

Issue:  Data Completeness validation messages are generated if you do not report 'Coke Pushing Operations' or 'Flare' units. Some facilities have indicated they do not operate these units and should not be getting validation messages
Workaround:  Ignore the two validation messages (ID's Q037 for Coke Pushing Operations and Q038 for Flares). These messages will not prevent submission of annual reports for facilities with out these operations.

Issue:  For Subpart Q Flares, e-GGRT had been directing users to use Equations Y-4 and Y-5 to calculate CH4 and N20. However, Subpart Q requires that you calculate those emissions based on Equation C-9a (98.33(2)(c)). In addition, annual reports generated by e-GGRT for subpart Q were not in all cases including the CO2, CH4, and/or N2O emissions for each flare reported. The rolled-up subpart-level and facility-level emissions values were correct.
Workaround:  As of Monday September 19, 2011 the Subpart Q page for flares correctly references Equation C-9a and the associated optional calculation spreadsheet and the annual report will include all flare emissions values. Users who have prepared an annual report for Subpart Q that includes flares before September 19 should ensure their CH4 and N20 emission estimates are consistent with requirements of Eq. C-9a and regenerate their report. If you are submitting emission Subpart Q Flares using the XML you should note that the "Fraction of Carbon in the Flare Gas" data element related to Equation Y-4, which was to be reported prior to the change, is no longer applicable.

Subpart
Y

Issue:  If you are submitting data for a Catalytic Reforming Unit and are using Eq. Y-11 to estimate emissions, there is no data entry field in the e-GGRT web forms or the XML schema for the average coke burn-off quantity (kg coke/cycle or kg coke / measurement period) data element. This data is required if you use Eq. Y-11.
Workaround:  Webform reporters should enter this data in the the optional unit "Description" text box for that Catalytic Reforming Unit. XML uploaders should be insert this data into the "/UnitIdentification/UnitDescription" schema element for that Catalytic Reforming Unit.

Subpart
AA

Issue:  For pulp mill lime kilns, several of the optional calculation spreadsheets referenced by e-GGRT (for Eq. C-8, C-8a, C-8b, C-9a, and C-9b) did not provide all of the emission factors needed to calculate CH4 and N20 emissions.
Workaround:  These spreadsheets have now been updated to include the emission factors listed in Table AA-2 and are available to be downloaded at:Using Subpart C Calculation Spreadsheets. If you have included emissions from pulp mill lime kilns in your annual report please ensure that you have used the correct emission factors.

Subpart
HH

Issue:  For landfills with multiple landfill gas monitoring locations under Subpart HH, the "Equation HH-6, HH-7, and HH-8 Multi" tab of the Equation HH-6, HH-7, and HH-8 Optional Calculation Spreadsheet referenced by e-GGRT contained an error in cell C80.
Workaround:  The tab in this spreadsheet has now been updated to correct this error and is available for download at:Using Subpart HH Calculation Spreadsheets. Please make sure you are using the most up to date spreadsheet by checking to ensure you are using version RY2010.R.03. If you have already run your calculation using the incorrect formula, please rerun the calculation using the correct formula, insert the correct value in e-GGRT, and then regenerate, submit, and certify your corrected report.

Subpart
OO

Issue:  Producer and Importer/Export reporting forms are not summarizing Other F-GHGs correctly.
WorkAround:  Download the new versions of the Producer and Importer/Export reporting forms at [Reporting Forms]. These were posted on September 2, 2011; please do not use an out-of-dated form. The new version number for each is now RY2010.R.03; this can be seen in each form on top of the first tab of each spreadsheet). We apologize for any inconvenience.

Cut and
Paste

When performing cut-and-paste from documents and or spreadsheets (e.g., optional calculation spreadsheets) into text or numeric fields in the e-GGRT application, please consider the following:

  1. For text fields, cut-and-paste will work in supported browsers as long as the text you are pasting does not exceed the maximum length permitted by e-GGRT for the field at issue.
  2. For numeric fields, the paste action works with one limitation: you are not allowed to paste non-numeric characters, such as commas, into numeric fields (special characters).
    1.  If you do try to paste non-numeric data in a numeric field using Mozilla Firefox browsers you will get an error message.
    2.  If you are using a Microsoft Internet Explorer browser you will be prevented from pasting non-numeric data in a numeric field, but no error message will be displayed.
