Q801. Which facilities are located on tribal land?

A801. Based on a facility’s reported address or other information reported to other EPA programs, users of FLIGHT can identify (point source) facilities on tribal lands. Facilities reporting emissions from onshore petroleum and natural gas production, local natural gas distribution companies and electrical equipment use may have some emissions that occur on tribal lands but due to the nature of reporting for these source categories, which requires emissions from sometimes vast geographic areas to be aggregated together, the portion of those emissions that occur on tribal land cannot be determined. Suppliers located on tribal land are also not identified because the reported address is not indicative of where emissions associated with the supplied products occur.
