Q783. My facility has more than one landfill gas collection system and the operating hours for the systems are not the same.  How should we report the annual operating hours for multiple landfill gas collection systems?

A783. If  If multiple collection systems were operated at your facility throughout the reporting year, report the average operating hours of the gas collection systems.  If one of the systems was newly installed during the reporting year, do not include that system's operating hours when determining the average operating hours.  Thus, if one collection system operated throughout the reporting year and a second system was installed during the reporting year, report the operating hours for the collection system that operated throughout the reporting year.

Part 98 currently does not require facilities to report the value of f_Dest and f_Rec used in Equations HH-6, HH-7, and HH-8.  However, beginning in reporting year 2013, facilities may enter information about multiple measurement locations and destruction devices, such that a facility can determine values for f_Rec and f_Dest that incorporate data for multiple devices.  As in previous reporting years, if you are reporting through e-GGRT, you may enter your own calculated values for Equations HH-6, HH-7, and HH-8 rather than use the e-GGRT calculated values if deemed appropriate.
