Q352. What are definitions of wet and dry gas in subpart HH?

A352. In reference to whether a measurement is made on a wet basis or a dry basis, the measurement is on a wet basis if it is performed directly on the gas in the collection system. Most flows are determined on a wet basis. Many extractive analyzers, however, have a condenser or sorbent to remove water vapor that may interfere with the measurement or corrode the analyzer. Measurements made where the moisture is removed prior to the measurement are considered to be made on a dry basis.
