Q645. Does equipment that has been sent out for reconditioning (not on-site) count toward the subpart DD threshold?
A645. Yes, equipment that has been sent off-site for reconditioning does count toward the reporting threshold. Subpart DD, 98.301(a) specifies that the reporting threshold includes equipment “that is not located within the facility but is under common ownership or control”. If new equipment is installed, the facility is responsible for reporting once the title for the equipment is transferred from the manufacturer to the facility owner.
