Q2. What is the purpose of the rule?

A2. The Mandatory Reporting of Greenhouse Gases Rule (74 FR 56260) and subsequent rules which amend 40 CFR Part 98 require and govern the collection accurate and timely data on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that can be used to inform future policy decisions.
