Q689. Is a “methane buster", aka “methane exhauster", (compressor that runs on some of the methane from the borehole) without a flare required to be reported under Subpart FF?

 

A689. Yes, all methane destroyed on site, whether by flare or otherwise, must be reported under subpart FF.  Also, all stationary combustion sources at the facility are subject to the requirements of subpart C.
